DAN Wallis scored twice as Witney enjoyed a 3-1 win at Newbury & Thatcham.
While many fixtures across the county were frozen off, the MBBO Regional 1 clash in Berkshire went ahead.
Jacob Deacon opened the scoring on the stroke of half-time, beating his marker and then firing past the goalkeeper.
Wallis stretched the lead with a clinical short corner routine and although Newbury pulled one back, the same player restored the two-goal cushion from another set piece.
Elsewhere, Andy Watts’s double helped Oxford Hawks to a 3-2 win over Fareham.
Matthew Wood was also on target.
