Oxford Ladies will go into Saturday's Midlands 1 derby at Witney in confident mood after a 22-3 home victory over Malvern Angels.
Tries from flanker Tia Winegard, centre Kate Warner, plus locks Sarah Johnson and Charlotte James helped Oxford to third place in the table.
Witney Angels opened their account for the season with a 42-10 victory over Nottingham at Hailey Road.
A hat-trick of tries from Sarah Morley and further scores from Mary Dew and Andrea Thomas gave Witney a 25-5 interval lead.
After the break, Morley took her tally to five tries, with Sophie Brampton adding a brace.
