CARTERTON stole a march on their nearest rivals as they saw off Stonesfield 3-0 in the Witney & District FA Premier Division.

Mark Threlfall, Dan Bishop and Alex Stubbs scored to stretch their lead at the top to five points with a game in hand.

A double for Adam Lee and a goal by Billy Hales saw Carterton Rangers to a 3-1 win over visitors Hailey, who replied through Sam Wheeler.

Tower Hill edged out Spartan Rangers 1-0, thanks to a Luke James strike.

Division 1 leaders Minster Lovell Res were made to fight all the way for a 4-3 win at Chadlington.

Harry Puffitt and Seb White both bagged braces for Minster.

Chadlington replied through Matt Chadwick, Jacob Hazlewood and Jordan Godfrey.

Enstone kept up the pressure on Minster with a 5-0 victory over visitors Bampton United.

Andy McCabe and Reece Bayliss both scored doubles, with Warwick Tompkins also on target in a comfortable victory.

Division 2 frontrunners Hook Norton lost for the first time this season as Carterton Res ran out 5-2 winners.

Danny Brearley led the way with a brace, while there were further goals for Carl Williams, John Andrews and Liam Aspey.

James Ingham and Ben Morbey replied.

In Division 3, Chipping Norton Town drew a thriller at Wootton Sports Res 4-4.

Keyth Bonner, Daryl Soper, Chris Mason and Yusuf Okunade scored for Chippy.

Mark Minch (2), Aaron Bowerman and Jack Pease were on target for the hosts.

Elsewhere, Witney Royals booked their place in the semi-finals of the Fred Ford Cup with a 1-0 win over Charlbury Town, Damon Tolley scoring the only goal.
