Kevin Davies netted a brace for Division 3 side FC Chequers as they produced the result of the second round of the John Fathers Oxfordshire Junior Shield with a 4-2 victory over Division 1 outfit FC Mills, writes ANTHONY BARLOW.
Chequers led 2-0 at the break, but two quick goals from Olly Lyon and Dan Harwood levelled the match.
However, Chequers stepped up a gear to book their place in the next round, with Paul Read and Steve Foster scoring their other goals.
Freeland marched through with a 7-3 victory over Ruscote Sports.
Stuart Hole netted a brace, with Simon Hole, Simon Stapleton, Dale Kardos, Dave Tarr and Chris Palmer also on target.
Witney Wanderers saw off Combe 5-2.
Chris Bennell and Bernie Crumlish bagged doubles, with Gary Atkinson netting the other.
Vinnie Snell and Matt Baker replied.
Dave Large hit a four-timer as Spartan Rangers thrashed Banbury District & Lord Jersey team Finmere 6-1.
Craig Isle and an own goal completed Spartan's tally.
West Witney eased through with a 6-2 victory against Tackley.

Kingham AB put on an impressive display as they hammered St John's 6-1, with goals from Nick Hartley (2), Tom Edington, Alex Colley and Dan Davies.
Holders Hailey defeated Heyford United 5-0.
Mike Duerden and Joel King netted doubles, with an own goal completing victory.
Chris Smith netted a double as Minster Lovell eased to a 3-0 victory over Heyford Park Skykings. Chris King sealed victory with No 3.
North Leigh A brushed aside Eynsham SSC 6-0.
Owen Collins and Darren Harriss grabbed braces, with Scott Collins and a Paul Meredith own goal completing a miserable day for Eynsham.
Brize Norton beat KEA 3-1 in a penalty shoot-out.
Jon Curtis netted for Brize in a 1-1 draw, before his side edged through on spot-kicks.
Witney Royals went down 2-1 to Broughton & North Newington, Steve Reynolds their scorer.
Kevin Reddington's goal for FC Nomads was in vain as they went out 2-1 against St Clements.
Philip Stokes scored a four-timer for Real Islip as they beat Golden Ball 7-4 after extra time.
Marvin Reid and Mark Mossop gave Golden Ball a 2-0 lead, before a Stokes hat-trick put Real ahead. Patrick Keeney then sent the tie into extra-time.
Neil Russell's double and Stoke's fourth made it 6-3 to Real, before Keeney clawed another one back. Russell then completed his treble with Real's seventh.
Jason Condor scored a hat-trick and was later sent off as RT Harris Oxford City FA side Wheatley United beat Cross Keys Thame 5-3 after extra-time.
Condor's haul put Wheatley in control only for Keys to force extra time.
Eddie Williams restored Wheatley's lead before Rob Harper sealed victory. Late on, Condor was red-carded for abusive language.
AFC Wood Farm won 4-1 against AFC Benson with Damien Thomas grabbing a hat-trick. Steven Munday got the other.
Reading League side Berinsfield thrashed Eynsham Association 7-0.
Mark Ingram (2), Andie Samson, Jamie Fleet, Barry Hayden, Chris Murphy and Steve Bateman were on target.
