Depleted Vale of White Horse Under 15s bowed out of the English Schools FA Trophy with a 3-2 extra-time defeat away to Luton.
Vale, missing both captain Sam Parish and vice-captain Matthew Clark through injury, soon went 2-0 behind.
Following some harsh words at half-time, Vale dominated the rest of the game and equalised thanks to two goals from Oliver Taylor.
Vale continued to have most of the play in extra time, but were caught out with five minutes left.
A late goal sent Vale of White Horse Primary Schools to a 2-1 defeat away to Sutton in the County League.
Alex Thomas side-footed Vale into the lead from Jared Jones's cross, but Sutton equalised just before half-time.
Despite dominating the second half, Vale conceded a breakaway goal late on.
