Didcot Town's impressive away form continued with 6-3 victory away to Slough Town in Division 1 South & West of the British Gas Business Southern League on Saturday.

But after conceding six goals in two matches against Oxford City last week, boss Stuart Peace will be concerned that his side let in a further three goals at Holloways Park.

The first clear-cut chance fell to Didcot in the ninth minute as Liam Hope burst into the penalty area.

His cross should have been converted by Josh Mulvany, but he thrashed wildly at the ball with the goal at his mercy.

Didcot got their noses in front just two minutes later.

Ashley Vine hooked the ball forward to Michael Bartley, who finished in fine style past Richard Barnard.

Scott Davis was denied by a brilliant save by Barnard moments later, but Didcot doubled their lead midway through the half.

Hope combined well with Matty Jack and when the ball was crossed into the box from the left flank, Bartley rose unmarked to grab his second goal against his former club.

On the stroke of half-time, Vine made it 3-0 when he side-footed past Barnard.

The home side reduced the arrears five minutes after the break when Enrico Grimm, on his debut, scored at the second attempt.

However, the impressive Jack King restored the three-goal cushion after a fine solo run and low shot.

Slough hit back again as Abby Nsubuga found the net.

This spurred the home side on, and Chris Robinson tested Didcot keeper Michael Watkins with a shot from 20 yards.

However, as Slough pushed forward, Didcot exploited space at the other end.

Substitute Andy Parrott made a brilliant block to deny Grimm, and a quick break forward ended with referee Dean Martin awarding a penalty after Bartley was rugby tackled by Christian Metcalfe in the box.

King made no mistake from the spot as he slotted home to make it 5-2.

Vine netted the goal of the game for No 6, hammering home a stunning right-foot shot from 25 yards in stoppage time, but to their credit, the home side never stopped attacking.

Grimm slammed a long-range effort onto a post, before they grabbed a third goal in the dying moments.

Nsubuga was brought down in the box by Davis, and Dean Harper crashed home the spot kick.
