Witney A's title hopes were dented as they lost their 100 per cent record in the Gentworks Oxford & District League, writes DAVID WHITE.
They were held to a 3-3 draw by struggling New Club A, allowing Fieldside to stretch their lead at the top of the Premier Division.
Lewis Calcutt won the first frame for Witney, but was pegged back when Ian Gee claimed the second.
Alan Mander and Ben Calcutt traded the next two frames, before Justin Shepherd put New Club into a 3-2 lead.
Gavin Wright held out to win the final frame and rescue a draw for Witney.
Fieldside won 4-2 at Riley A.
Tony Hicks hit 39 to win the opening frame, but Mick Bennett hit back with a 33 to clinch the second.
A clearance of 30 was enough for John Butcher to snatch frame three from Fieldside's Karl Walker, who responded with a 43 to won the fourth frame at a canter.
Paul Robinson then made a 41 break to steer Fieldside home with victory against Ron Reddy.
Riley C halted a run of six straight defeats with a 5-1 win against Riley B.
Matthew Challen beat Malcolm Bough to put the C team 2-0 up, before Dean Campbell took the third frame from Thiago Muratori to win his side's only frame.
A break of 37 helped Altaf Ali to win the fifth frame, and Ali then hit 54 in the last to seal the match.
In Division 1, Woodstock A moved up to third with a 5-1 win at Riley E.
Rob Adkins won the first frame for Riley, before Stuart Reeve grabbed the second.
Justin Page beat Greg Moyses and Priyan Shah saw off Wayne Reddy.
Morris Motors are the new leaders in Division 2, after they demolished Witney B 6-0.
