CARO Harris scored twice as Oxford Hawks made it two wins out of three in Women’s Hockey League Conference West.
Lexi Newall was also on target in the 3-0 win at University of Birmingham 2nd, which saw them climb to third in the table as a result.
The visitors were quick to gain the upper hand, but had to wait until the second half to score.
Harris put them ahead five minutes after the break from a rebound at a penalty corner.
Newall doubled the lead after Becca Edwards’ shot hit the post and fell her way, before Harris sealed a fine win late on.
Witney’s strong start in South League Division 1 continued with a 2-1 home win against Marlow.
Mille Hartwell opened the scoring, but the visitors levelled from a penalty corner.
Marlow had no answer when Witney went ahead for the second time, Abi Flory winning the game when she deflected in Ellie Norton’s shot.

Witney are still waiting for their first point of the MBBO Regional 1 season after losing 3-2 at Amersham.
Their hopes of getting off the mark were in tatters when the home side scored three times in the opening ten minutes.
James Youngman scored twice, including a penalty flick, but it was not enough.
