OXFORD United have been dealt a big blow after discovering Ben Woodburn could be sidelined until the new year.

U’s boss Karl Robinson said: “Woody’s seeing a specialist tomorrow and the worst-case scenario would be three months, but it could be a lot less than that.

“He came off on Saturday and we looked a little bit below par, so it’s a big loss.”

The winger is due for a scan this afternoon, but Robinson admitted it “doesn’t look great”.
