OXFORD Hawks’ men had mixed results from a double-header as they warm up for the new season.
With three weeks until the start of their Division 1 South campaign, Hawks went down 1-0 to Team Bath Buccaneers.
But they recovered to beat Birmingham University 3-2, thanks to goals from Ted Bennett, Jack Biggs, Ed Tristem.
Hawks’ ladies lost 2-0 at Bedford.

Men: 1st 0, Bath Buccaneers 1; 1st 3 (T Bennett, J Biggs, E Tristem), Birmingham University 2; Henley 2nd 9, 3rd 4; 5th 2, Henley 3rd 4; 7th 5, Henley 4th 4.
Ladies: Bedford 2, 1st 0; 3rd 1 (R McEwen-Smith), Wycombe 2nd; 2nd 5, Oxford 0; 4th (P Fitzgerald), Wallingford 2nd 2; 6th 1, 7th 1.
