Oxford Hawks with their runners-up medals
OXFORD Hawks were denied at the death in the final of the Women’s Over 30 Tier 1 competition.
Helen Nicholson scored for Hawks, who hosted the England Hockey event, but they lost 2-1 to Brooklands Poynton.
The Cheshire club scored the decisive goal in the dying seconds to land the silverware.
Wallingford reached the quarter-finals of the Tier 2 competition, with their conquerors Westberries losing 3-1 to Leamington in the final.
