JORDANNE Whiley has been rewarded for her superb form with two Wimbledon wildcards.
The 27-year-old, from Steventon will play in the ladies wheelchair singles and doubles at the Championships.
Whiley, ranked No 8 in the world, has won 30 of her 34 matches, landing four titles since returning to international competition in February following the birth of her son.
It will be the first time the ten-time grand slam champion has played at Wimbledon since her doubles triumph in 2017 with Yui Kamiji, who will again be her playing partner this year.
Whiley tweeted: “I’m super excited, thank-you so much for believing in me.
“It really means a lot. Can’t wait to get back on the grass.”
The wheelchair event begins on the second Thursday of Wimbledon – July 11.
