JORDANNE Whiley reached the semi-finals of the BNP Paribas Open de France when knocking out Momoko Ohtani in straight sets.
The 27-year-old, from Steventon, beat her Japanese opponent 6-3, 6-2 at the ITF Wheelchair Super Series event in Paris today.
Whiley, tenth in the UNIQLO Tour rankings, will play World No 1 Diede De Groot in the last four tomorrow.
The Briton had progressed to the quarter-finals with a 6-3, 6-3 win over seventh seed Katharina Kruger.
Whiley’s victory extended her winning streak over the German to 15 matches, a run which dates back to 2010.
She also beat compatriot Louise Hunt 6-1, 6-1 in the first round.
