AHMED Kashi has visited Oxford United chairman Sumrith 'Tiger' Thanakarnjanasuth in Thailand.
The midfielder spent the second half of last season on loan with the U's, making 11 appearances.
Boss Karl Robinson, who coached the 30-year-old at Charlton Athletic, admitted in April he would like to re-sign him next season.
Kashi still has a year to run on his contract with French club Troyes, but the link with United appears strong after being pictured with Tiger on a family holiday to Thailand.
The U's have also been linked to two of Kashi's former teammates at the Valley - winger Tariqe Fosu and centre back Jason Pearce.
