OXFORDSHIRE are hoping to build on their positive start to the season when they take on Bedfordshire in the Unicorns Knockout Trophy on Sunday.
Jonny Cater’s side head to Ampthill for their first competitive one-day game of 2019 in high spirits.
It comes off the back of a flying start to their Unicorns T20 campaign, which saw Oxon win three of their four matches over the bank holiday to top Group 2.
Cater has rewarded the majority of that side in his selection for this weekend, with only Will Sutcliffe and George Tait missing out, while Leo Bethell is injured.
Richard Kaufman and Harry Smith, who were both unavailable last week, return to a 12-man squad.
The captain is hoping his side can carry on in the same vein.
He said: “The players are buzzing, there’s a really good atmosphere in the side.
“It’s really important to select a similar team.
“Players need to be rewarded for their good performances.
“There are a couple who have not made it and they understand what they need to do to get back in, which is important.”
