THE winding-up petition faced by Oxford United was formally dismissed in the High Court today.
The case was brought by HM Revenue & Customs over a bill for just under £150,000, which included legal costs.
United, who did not have anyone present at the hearing, settled the matter earlier this month, several weeks after the petition was filed.
It was the second time in eight months HMRC had taken the action before the club paid up.
Owner Sumrith 'Tiger' Thanakarnjanasuth, who took over in February, used last weekend's programme notes to blame the situation "not by our own negligence but by outside factors".
