MALACHI Napa has signed a new contract which will keep him at Oxford United until 2021.
And the winger has been loaned out to Macclesfield Town until January to gain more experience.
Napa made his senior debut for the U's last season, going on to make 17 appearances in all competitions, three of which were starts.
But with several attacking players signing this summer, it was felt a loan move to the Sky Bet League Two side would be the best option.
United boss Karl Robinson said: "He has been great for us and has a really bright future, so it is great to see him commit his future to the club.
βHe is very much one for the future, but the reality right now is that we have brought in a number of experienced players who play in his position so his chances in the first half of the season are going to be limited.
"We had a chat and he knows the situation and joining Macclesfield will allow him to be part of a really good club where we know he will be looked after.β
