MATHEW Naylor’s double-century was the highlight of Oxford University’s nine-wicket Varsity Match victory over Cambridge in The
Parks.
Naylor, who scored 202 from 302 balls – the sixth highest score in the fixture’s history – shared a fifth-wicket stand of 267 with skipper Dan Escott (175) as the Dark Blues rattled up 533-7 declared in the first innings.
Cambridge were then dismissed for 199 and 343, leaving Oxford just ten to win in the second innings.
