The second day of Oxfordshire's Minor Counties Championship match against Devon at Exmouth yesterday was washed out without a single ball being bowled.

Torrential rain during the morning led to play being called off shortly after noon.

With Oxon standing on 173-8 in their first innings after a rain-shortened opening day, it will need some positive action from the captains today to secure victory for either side - weather permitting.

Oxfordshire's twice-postponed ECB 50+ County Championship quarter-final against Northants has been rearranged for tomorrow at Banbury Twenty.

The prize for the winners is a semi-final spot on Sunday away to Surrey, who last weekend beat Somerset at Taunton Dene by five wickets with one ball to spare.

Oxfordshire 50+: from Wingfield Digby (capt, Bicester & North Oxford), Caunce (Oxford Downs), Tew (Sandford St Martin), Garner (Shipton-under-Wycwhood), Evans (Cumnor), Cunningham (SOA), Willis (Henley), Blackford (Kidlington), Spindler (Wallingford), Pykett (Tiddington), Griffiths (Banbury Twenty), J Lawton Smith (Oxford), Florey (Oxford Downs).
