OXFORD Cavaliers suffered their first loss of 2018, but were still left celebrating against Reading Raiders.
Despite losing 30-24 in their final West of England Pool B clash, they lifted the Thames Valley Trophy due to the total aggregate score from their 36-24 win over their local rivals earlier this month.
Jack Edwards, Luke Manning, who kicked four conversions, Arron Lambourne and Harry Gillett all scored tries.
Cavaliers now travel to Somerset Vikings in the first round of the Super Six phase.
