Oxfordshire Under 11s ended their season with a disappointing ten-wicket defeat against Surrey at Epsom College.
Oxon made a disastrous start as Surrey openers George Lacefield and Chris Webster ripped the heart of out the top order with superb spells.
So good was the Surrey attack, that Oxon lost six wickets with only five runs on the board as Webster took 3-13 and Lacefield 2-4.
Only Marcus Jeacock survived the opening onslaught, and when the heavens opened, Oxon were relieved to get off the field.
After returning from the rain break, Jeacock fell early, quickly followed by another wicket as Oxon crashed to 14-8 in only the 14th over.
However, a decent partnership between Angus Spittles and Charlie Parker took Oxfordshire past 50.
Defending such a small total, Oxon were always going to be up against it, and so it proved as Surrey cruised to a ten-wicket win.
