OXFORDSHIRE’S poor run continued in the Unicorns Counties T20 competition when suffering two defeats against Buckinghamshire at Banbury Twenty CC.
Having lost both their previous double-headers against Shropshire and Herefordshire, Oxon are bottom of Group 2 with six defeats from as many matches.
Both games followed a similar pattern with Bucks choosing to bat first and winning by 50 and 30 runs respectively.
In the first match, the visitors scored 155-7, Shelvin Gumbs top-scoring with 43 off 23 balls. Harvey Eltham was the most successful Oxon bowler with 3-35.
The hosts never got going in reply and finished on 105-9.
In the second game, Bucks made 170-4, Robin Pritchard hitting 62 off 40 balls.
Skipper Jonny Cater got off to a brisk start, but no batsman played a major innings and Oxon were all out for 140 off the final ball.
