Banbury United's new boss Kieran Sullivan has hailed the return of defender Ady Fuller as they look to get their Premier Division campaign off to a good start.

Fuller, who left Banbury for Leamington last season before joining Woodford United, has decided to end his exile from Spencer Stadium.

"It's a big bonus for us," said Sullivan.

"He has a lot of experience and knows what's required at this level.

"We tried to get him before he joined Woodford. Things didn't work out, so we grabbed him."

Sullivan, who has retired from playing, has been delighted by the squad's attitude since he took over from Kevin Brock in pre-season.

"It has been fantastic," said Sullivan.

"There is a great team spirit. We have got a lot of local lads and I think that helps.

"In terms of fitness, we have done everything we wanted to do.

"Maybe we could have done a bit better in a couple of the games, but it's given all the players some match-time.

"The fitter, stronger sides do well in this league and we are prepared as we possibly can be.

"Bath will be tough, but you can't pick and chose - you just have to get on with it."

Banbury hope to sign youngster Dave Malloy from Oxford United.

"We hope to get him on loan. Hopefully he can play if we get the paperwork sorted out in time.

"He has played a couple of pre-season games. He is a midfielder, but he does very well at right back. He's got great quality on the ball."

Joe Murrell, Matt Dixon and Andrew Wheeler battle it out for the keeper's jersey.

Banbury, who hope to welcome back Wycombe striker Andy Baird after a knee injury, will be without Wayne Blossom (wedding) and Tommy Kinch (away).

Striker Troy Butler (hamstring) is a doubt.
