OXFORD Downs will be out to continue Findon's semi-final jinx when the sides clash in Standlake on Sunday (2pm).

Sussex champions Findon have reached the competition's last four in three of the past five seasons without making it to a Lord's final.

Downs captain Wes Bartlett, has been nursing a hamstring injury this week, but names an unchanged side.

He said: "We have spoken to a couple of guys from Shipton, like Steve Bates, who have played them before to get some inform- ation.

"They seem to get to the semis quite a lot, but looking at their side on the internet there's not much we can tell.

"I think they like batting second and knocking off the runs."

Opening batsman Frankie Crouch returns from holiday in time for the match.

Of his hamstring, Bartlett said: "Hopefully, it will be fine. I'm going to play on Saturday just to see how it feels.

"I don't want to be going into the match on Sunday and be a nightmare for the guys."

Findon are known as the Horses and play in the Sussex Invitation League. Their village is near Worthing.

Should the match be postponed, Findon will host a replay the following week.

"Hopefully the weather holds out because it doesn't look that good," said Bartlett.
