Katherine O'Connor retained the Jane Roberts Cup as Wales' top-scorer in the Girls Home Internationals at Southerndown, but couldn't stop them coming last.
The 17-year-old Oxon ladies champion and Frilford Heath member is the first to hold on to the cup since European Ladies Tour pro Becky Morgan in 1996.
O'Connor also earned herself selection for the Welsh team competing for the Nations Cup in this week's British Girls Championships.
- Eddie Pepperell (Drayton Park) won four-and a half points out of six as England regained the Boys Home Internationals title at Machnynys Peninsula, Wales.
The 16-year-old, from Abingdon, helped England to a clean sweep and their ninth success in ten years.
- Places are still available for a charity golf day at Carswell next Friday.
The event, which raises funds for Oxford Children's Hospital and its Karman's Ward, costs £130 to enter for a team of four.
Entry includes golf and food and there will be a series of team and individual prizes plus a raffle.
