HOLDERS Oxfordshire made light work of Buckinghamshire in their Bill Beaumont County Championship Division 3 opener, earning a 76-27 win.
Tommy Gray scored a hat-trick of tries in a one-sided affair at Henley.
Oxon led 14-0 when David Hyde and Tom Emery went over, Ed Phillips converting.
Bucks replied through Lloyd Anderson and Nick Carvey, Aled Lewis adding the extras.
However, Oxon hit back when Gray crossed and Phillips converted.
Stuart Pearham’s penalty kept Bucks in touch, but the hosts made it 40-17 at half-time, thanks to tries from Gray, Emery and Ian Jeffreys, Phillips converting twice.
Lewis crossed just after the break for the visitors.
But Oxon continued to dominate, with two Robinson tries sandwiching another Hyde effort, Phillips converting on one occasion.
Ben Foster crossed for Bucks.
However, Oxon could not be stopped as Gray completed his hat-trick and Connor Hull also crossed, Phillips converting the first, to complete a commanding victory.
