Andy Burgess
Former U's midfielder Andy Burgess has used his column in a national newspaper to attack Jim Smith and his style of management.
Burgess, who moved suddenly to Rushden and Diamonds last week, said that Smith is negative towards his players during team talks.
He went on to claim that United would not have been relegated if Smith had not been appointed and that Darren Patterson would have made a better manager.
