New signing Carl Bloomfield opened his account is style, scoring four times as Abingdon Town secured a convincing 4-0 victory over Harrow Hill on Saturday in the Sport Italia Hellenic League Premier Division.

Abingdon took the lead after 18 minutes when Aaron Williams crossed to Luke Beauchamp at the far post who set up Bloomfield to fire the ball home past keeper Wayne Baldwin.

Seven minutes later, it was 2-0 when Bloomfield fired home from the edge of the box.

Just before the break, Harrow Hill reduced the deficit through Bobby Clark who glanced in a header at the near post.

In the second half, Abingdon upped the tempo and in the 67th minute Wise hit the post after pouncing on a loose ball, before Bloomfield fired the rebound back into the net for his hat-trick.

Town further increased the lead in the 75th minute when Bloomfield netted his fourth with a beautifully judged lob from 25 yards.

North Leigh's strikeforce proved too hot for Premier Division rivals Milton on Saturday at Eynsham Parkas as Chris Allen grabbed a cool brace in their 3-0.

With the new season just seven minutes old, Jamie Jackson met a loose clearance from the Milton area and volleyed in from 30 yards.

Home keeper Richard Barrett made his first save of the season to deny Vince Rusher on 20 minutes, but on the half-hour Leigh's new signing Phil Corcoran showed his potential.

Bicester Town were punished for some missed chances by a solitary late goal. Town's Danny Bone went close in the first half heading just over the bar after a well worked corner.

Despite numerous chances they failed to score and visiting sub Adam Cole found time and space to fire home close to the end.

Kidlington kicked off the new season at Wantage Town and it ended all square despite new signing Nathan Jack coming close in the first minute.

He was repeatedly denied by some good work from the Wantage defence.

The hosts had a great chance in the 89th minute when Tom Austin's 30-yarder went just over.

There was bad news for Wantage's Sam Collier who had to be stretchered off and taken to hospital with a knee injury.
