JON Jukes will play in his 13th Greene King ODDA men’s singles final after surviving two big scares.

The Cowley Workers club ace will play Neal Russell (Kidlington Green SC) in the Summer League finals night at his home venue on Friday, November 17.

In his quarter-final against Dan Smith (Abingdon Utd SC), Jukes hit a 14-dart first leg (140-140-60-117-44).

Smith hit back to win the second leg and had five throws at a double to win the match, but Jukes scraped through to win 2-1.

In the semi-finals, Jukes took on teammate Aaran Stevens in a repeat of this year’s Winter League final and rode his luck to triumph 2-1.

Russell reached his first final with victories over Michael Wilkes (Abingdon Utd SC) and Michael Ashburner (Cricketers Arms).

In the men’s pairs final, Jukes and Stevens will play Tom Baughan and Kevin Wilkins (Challow RBL) in a repeat of the 2016/17 Winter League decider, which was won by the Challow pair.

The ladies’ singles final sees Katrina Blackman, the 2016 runner-up, playing her Kidlington SC teammate Sue Burns, who will be in her first final.

The duo will join up to play in the pairs final against June Rouse and Ali Bateman (Red Lion).

The men’s seven-a-side final will see 2016 winners Abingdon United SC take on Cowley Workers, while Section 1 sides Kidlington Green and Blackbird Bar meet in the ladies’ equivalent.
