DONNINGTON Club took full advantage of Oracle’s cancelled match to move top of the Oxford & District League’s Premier Division, writes PETE EWINS.
They beat Masons 5-1, thanks to victories from Dennis Atkins (9,530), Dave Tooke (9,810), Ian Moquet (7,620) and both doubles.
Vikings A triumphed 6-0 over Gladiators B.
Democrats drew 3-3 at Gladiators, but have taken over at the top of Division 1.
Bert Lovegrove (5,560) and Keith Gardner (4,940) won for the hosts, with John Patey and Richard Garrett victorious for the visitors. The pairs were shared.
Headington Conservative Club are now top of Division 2 after a 5-1 win at home to Vikings Club B.
Keith Hollis (5,070), Roger Tomlin (3,330), Tim Jeffreys and Dave Gordon won their singles, before the pairs was shared.
