OXFORDSHIRE’S Bradley Smith had to settle for 12th place after making a storming start to the Malaysian MotoGP at Sepang.
The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider, who qualified 16th on the grid, rocketed through the field to sixth place in the wet conditions.
But then he slipped back to come home 12th, for another points finish, following his tenth place in the previous week’s Australian race.
Andrea Dovizioso won to keep his slim world title hopes alive.
