ROSE Kent and Nikki Bayer, from Didcot’s Flying Solo Trampoline Club, soared to victory at the English Championships in Sheffield.
Kent, 17, and Bayer, 20, competed in both the individual and synchronised trampoline disciplines in the Senior Silver Synchro category
Two well-executed routines with near perfect synchronicity kept them ahead of the pair in silver by a margin of 0.4 points, to take the gold medal and the title of English champions.
Remarkably, this is their first season competing together as a synchro pair.
Both girls also performed well individually, each making the top eight finals in their respective groups,
Kent just missed out on a medal in 17-18 silver female category, finishing fourth.
Both have also qualified to the National League finals, alongside club member Emma Chenery, 17, at Lee Valley Velo Park in the Olympic Park on December 2 & 3.
