OXFORD RL’s miserable run continued as they conceded 16 tries in a heavy 92-6 defeat at Keighley Cougars.
The Blues’s eighth defeat in a row turned out to be their heaviest of the Kingstone Press League One season.
With the division splitting into two at the end of the regular campaign, Oxford will now compete in the shield.
Against Cougars, the Blues started well when Tommy Newbould raced over and Liam Kay converted.
But tries from Hamish Barnes (2), Mike Emmett, Brendon Rawlins, James Feather, Brad Nicholson and Adam Ryder saw Cougars take a 42-6 lead.
The second half continued in the same vein as Josh Lynam (2), Ritchie Hawkyard (2), Barnes (2), Harry Aaronson (2) and Nicholson crossed. Matty Beharrell converted 14 tries.
