OXFORD RL’s winless streak stretched to six games when they fell to a 34-16 defeat at Doncaster on Wednesday night.
The Kingstone Press League One clash was all but over at half-time as the Blues trailed by 22 points.
Oxford outscored their hosts after the break, but it was all in vain.
The Dons took the lead when Sam Doherty crossed for an unconverted try.
It was soon 10-0 as Kieran Cross broke through and Jack Miller added the extras.
The hosts’ dominance continued as they raced into a 24-0 lead after 25 minutes.
Docherty, Miller and Brad England crossed, with Miller converting one.
Oxford finally got on the scoreboard when Jordan Gill weaved his way over, but they conceded again before the break.
Miller scored his second and converted to make it 30-4, before the Blues hit back through Will Cook.
Doncaster touched down again on 68 minutes when Docherty powered over to complete his hat-trick.
Oxford, though, would go on to score the rest of the game’s points.
Jordan Gill and Marcus Brooker crossed, but the tries were just consolation.
