Oxfordshire renewed their chances of qualifying for the final stages of the competition with a thrilling victory over Shropshire at Bicester & North Oxford In a dramatic finish, the scores were tied, but Oxon triumphed by virtue of losing one fewer wicket.
Chasing Oxon's total of 175-8 from 45 overs, Shropshire were 172-9, requiring just four runs to win off three overs.
The visitors were denied by some brilliant bowling by Phil Garner and Andrew Wingfield Digby, who conceded only one run in each of the last three overs.
They finished at 175-9, giving Oxon an unlikely success.
Garner (48) and Wingfield Digby (44) had also been Oxon's stars when they batted first, leading a recovery from 63-5 with a sixth-wicket stand of 62.
Oxon's next match is against Wales at Merthyr Tydfil next Wednesday.
