JACK Griffths pipped his grandad for first place in the first round of Littlemore Angling Society’s Spring League on Panshill Fishery’s Wood Lake.
Both Griffiths and grandfather Brian had 16 carp on the method feeder with pellet.
But Jack recorded a winning weight of 34lb 2oz, compared with Brian’s 29.13.
Tony Baily was third on 27.12.
Ian Higgins was not upset by the boat traffic on the Oxford Canal at King’s Bridge, when won North Oxford’s Canal Series match.
Higgins had a winning weight of 13.2.0. Dave Head had 7.1.8.0, while Antony Tomkins was third with 6.15.0.
