ALEX MacDonald is confident Oxford United will not suffer from any Wembley fall-out when they resume their Sky Bet League Two programme at Crawley Town today.
With only a two-point cushion between Michael Appleton’s side in second and fifth-placed Accrington Stanley, the U’s cannot afford the disappointment from last weekend’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final defeat to linger.
But MacDonald was encouraged at training on Tuesday morning.
He said: “No-one was down and that’s been a massive part about us.
“Wembley was a great day, but it won’t compare to the celebrations if we do get over the line.”
Jordan Evans will play at left back with Joe Skarz out for the season, while MacDonald (groin) and Danny Hylton (knee) should shrug off knocks.
Crawley striker Liam McAlinden is ruled out.
