NEAL Ardley has set a points target for AFC Wimbledon to reach the Sky Bet League Two playoffs as they look to extend a superb run against Oxford United.
The Dons have soared to a season-high fifth in the table after winning seven of their last eight games.
And Ardley (pictured) reckons a similar points haul for the rest of the campaign would see them claim a top-seven finish.
He said: “The players are excited and looking forward to things, I’m not going to tell them they can’t go home and look at the league table.
“We have to get another 21 or 22 points in the last 15 games.
“In our first 16 we got 25 and we did not even think we had hit the ground running.
“So we know it is achievable, but you look at the games and before you know it, you can pick up one point in 12 – you know that can happen as well.
“But at the moment we have got momentum and I’m trying to keep it going.”
The clash with United is the first of four successive games against top-seven sides –with Northampton Town, Accrington Stanley and Bristol Rovers to follow.
Defender Paul Robinson said: “Since the Christmas period something seems to have clicked and we’ve got real momentum.”
