Didcot cruiserweight Dariusz Skop is making changes as he looks to take his career “to the next level”.

Skop has the first fight of what he hopes will be a breakthrough year at the York Hall in Bethnal Green, London, this Saturday, when he fights Martin Szatmari.

For Skop, it will be his sixth fight and the 30 year-old said: “I’m hoping this will be a big year.

“There’s a chance I could fight for a belt, but the most important thing is for me to gain experience.”

Skop, sponsored by South Moreton BC, Athlete Centre in Oxford and Brubeck, has ambitions to break into the world rankings and his match with Szatmari is a step in the right direction.
