OXFORD City’s poor run of form continued with a 2-1 defeat at Maidenhead United last night.

Justin Merritt’s side are six games without a win after second-half goals from Harry Pritchard and Jake Reid settled the Vanarama National League South clash.

The hosts went ahead five minutes into the second period when Pritchard's looping cross went over keeper Laurie Walker and into the net.

City were level 11 minutes later when Jose Lapoujade fired in a shot from 20 yards.

But on 69 minutes when a cross from the right was not collected by Walker and Reid netted.

Banbury United moved to within a point of top spot in Division 1 South & West of the Evo-Stik Southern League after a 1-0 win at Tiverton Town.

Mark Bell scored the only goal of the game with a first-half strike as Mike Ford’s side continued their fine run of form.

Struggling Wantage Town were beaten 4-0 at home by Yate Town.
