GOSFORD All Blacks beat Alchester 27-13 to stretch their lead to five points at the top of the table.

With BB&O Premier title rivals Milton Keynes’ game abandoned due to an injury to the referee, All Blacks took advantage.

A penalty try, converted by Chris Bennett, put All Blacks ahead, but their lead was cut when the hosts responded through Jamie Jones.

Alchester continued to attack and Luke Hallam Evans drove over to make it 10-7.

Gosford drew level through Chris Bennett’s three-pointer, but it was the hosts who led at the break, thanks to Rob Tyreman’s penalty.

The hosts dominated possession playing into a strong second-half wind, but it was All Blacks who did the damage in the last ten minutes.

Dan Hughes carved his way over, Bennett slotted a penalty and Harry Sutton scored in the corner after intercepting a pass.

Bennett converted both tries as All Blacks sealed victory.

Gosford take a break from league action this weekend as they take on holders Blue Boar in the semi-finals of the Oxfordshire Shield on Sunday.

Chipping Norton beat bottom side Wheatley 26-10.

In the Championship, Littlemore eased to a 25-0 win at home to Harwell.

A penalty and three unconverted tries gave the hosts an 18-point lead at half-time.

And a converted score after the break saw Littlemore ease home in wet and windy conditions.

Elsewhere, Oxford lost 20-0 at Berkshire Shire Hall.
