BICESTER ended a five-match losing run with a narrow 20-19 win at home to Buckingham in Southern Counties North.
The visitors took the game to their hosts and Matt Hawker crossed, before Tom Miles replied with a penalty for Bicester.
Hooker Will Anns streaked over for the home side’s first try, which Miles converted.
But, after Bicester’s Ryan Biscoe was sin-binned, Buckingham led 12-10 at the break with Pat Ockenden driving over and Calum Gillie adding the extras.
Their lead was extended to nine points as Jak Cluness crossed and Gillie converted, but the hosts fought back.
Miles careered across, before Tom Horwood was driven over to make it 20-19.
Meanwhile, two Phil Dawes penalties helped Wallingford beat Bletchley 6-0.
