KIDLINGTON face an FA Vase replay after drawing a thrilling tie against Bowers & Pitsea 3-3 after extra time.

A Kristian Thomas double put theUhlsport Hellenic League side 2-0 ahead in the quarter-final clash.

But Alfie Hilton and Lewis Manor (2) fired the hosts into a 3-2 lead, before Anaclet Odhiambo equalised.

Extra time could not separate the sides so they will vie for a place in the semi-final at Yarnton Road on Saturday.

In difficult conditions, Kidlington took the lead after three minutes when Thomas swept home on the rebound after goalkeeper Martyn Guest was unable to keep hold of an Odhiambo effort.

And it was 2-0 on nine minutes when Thomas charged down a clearance and the ball ricocheted into the back of the net.

The hosts replied immediately when Hilton slotted past Sam Warrell in the 12th minute.

Kidlington thought they had re-established their two-goal lead when Tommy Castle’s effort looked to have crossed the line, but the officials did not award a goal.

On 54 minutes the hosts levelled when Manor’s free-kick beat Warrell and the same player then made it 3-2, firing home from close range.

The hosts had another goal disallowed for offside, but Kidlington restored parity on 69 minutes, with Odhiambo’s shot deflecting over Guest.

Castle had the last chance of normal time, but fired wide.

Odhiambo and Lewis Coyle brought fine saves from Guest in extra time.

In the second period, Odhiambo headed wide late on.
