Chipping Norton BC played host to 13 members of the Joint Air Delivery – a test and evaluation unit from RAF Brize Norton – for an afternoon of bowls.
The unit were given coaching by members of the club and later played a match against each other.
Club member Mike Harris, who helped organise the event: said: “It is a pleasure to host members of the armed forces.
“Hopefully, they enjoyed their afternoon and will continue to play bowls in the future.”
On behalf of Brize Norton, chief technician Daryl Lockwood said: “It provides an opportunity for us to say goodbye to one of our members, Matt Usher, who is leaving the services on his birthday after 12 years of service. We wish him well in his new civilian role.”
