RUGBY UNION: Banbury start with a win
MATT Goode crossed twice as Banbury kickstarted their Midlands 2 West (South) campaign with a 24-20 victory over Spartans (Midlands).
Banbury opened up a 7-0 lead when Josh Deegan went over for a converted score.
The visitors levelled, before winger Joe Mills dived over for an unconverted try.
However, Spartans went into the break 15-12 ahead, thanks to a try and a drop goal.
Goode then dived over twice in the second half, Pickle converting both, before Spartans grabbed an unconverted try.
