ASTON Rowant won a rain-interrupted semi-final against Great & Little Tew in the Oxfordshire Under 17 competition.
A magnificent 90 by Alex Ferreira helped Aston Rowant to 185-6 off 20 overs.
Rain came with Tew 39-3 after ten overs, sending Rowant into the final to play Cumnor at Horspath on September 6 on run-rate.
OXFORD came second place in the Women’s Midlands League Division 1 table after a four-wicket win over Burton Latimer (Northants).
Ellie Porter (4-20) and Paula Matthews (3-17) starred as Oxford bowled out the hosts for 82.
And despite being 22-4, the visitors edged home.
Charlbury lost by nine wickets to leaders Horton House (Northants) in Division 2.
Jacqui Mayho (51) and Caitie Burton (46) helped hosts Charlbury to 133-8, but the table-toppers cruised home.
Banbury’s game at Astwood Bank was called off without a ball being bowled.
