SAM Slocombe is looking forward to finally being able to introduce himself to Oxford United’s home fans.
The goalkeeper is one of three new signings, with Ryan Taylor and Liam Sercombe, set to make their debut against Crawley Town tomorrow.
And with United replacing the pitch in the summer they did not play a home friendly in pre-season, so the goalkeeper is yet to make an appearance at the Kassam Stadium.
The 27-year-old said: “It’s going to be a change to play at home.
“I’ve played at Oxford before (with Scunthorpe United) and enjoyed playing there.
“The fans were brilliant, even though I was on the opposing team.
“I’m looking forward to getting out there in front of the home fans. Hopefully I can help bring them a win on the first game of the season.”
