THE external supporters’ bar trialled by Oxford United towards the end of last season will return tomorrow.
Hundreds visited the marquee, set up in the car park, before the goalless draw with York City on Easter Monday.
The trial was deemed a success and United are keen to use it at certain times throughout the season, starting against Crawley Town tomorrow.
Jeremy Faulkner, chairman of the club’s independent supporters’ trust, OxVox, said: “I thought it was great.
“When the Priory shut I think we lost something as fans – we lost a meeting point that wasn’t in the ground.
“I think the club had to cross a lot of hurdles to get it open, but I really welcome seeing it again.”
The bar will open at 12.30pm and will also feature local reggae DJ Natty Mark and the Strawberry Fayre Majorettes.
