Chris Hampton has been named Aegon national club coach of the year.
The 39-year-old, who is a coach at North Oxford Lawn Tennis Club, was presented with the award by former British No 1, and now coach and commentator, Greg Rusedski in a glittering ceremony at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton, London.
Hampton, a former pupil at Woodgreen School in Witney, who lives in Carterton, fought off the challenge of six other coaches to land the coveted accolade.
His was one of seven categories of awards where the winners were selected on the quality of the nominations, not the quantity.
