Eddie Pepperell dug in to begin his French Open campaign with a solid level par round.
The Frilford Heath golfer was among the early starters disrupted by thunder storms, which suspended play.
With scoring tough, a round of 71 was a decent score and puts Pepperell in good shape to make the cut when he tees off at 11.50am (BST) today.
